Climbing in the Fontainebleau forest

Discover the camp site of l'Ile de Boulancourt for your climbing journey in Fontainebleau. Given our ideal geographical location (just a few miles away from the Fontainebleau forest), our camp site specialized in the climbing activities. We are able to give you many pieces of advice and we also rent some climbing material (Crash Pads). Many sites are to be discovered in the Bleau forest to go climb. Here is a little summary of what's going on.

Climbing in Buthiers

How to get there ? Take the A6 until the Ury exit . Turn right on the N152 direction La Chapelle La Reine and Malesherbes, 1 km after the crossroad with the D410 coming from Milly. Turn left at the light in the direction of the « Base de plein air de Buthiers ».

You can park your car on the parking lot of the Base de plein air.

Les 3 pignons : the 25 bumps route (circuit des 25 bosses)

How to get there ? Take the highway A6 direction Lyon and exit to Milly-la-forêt, last one before the toll. Once you're in Milly, take the direction of Noisy-Sur-Ecole and of the Vaudoué (D16). On the D16 turn left direction «La Croix Saint Jérôme » to access the parking places of the 95.2. If you keep driving on the D16, the next parking places, Noisy cemetery, gives you access to the Sables du Cul de Chien and to some massifs such as La Roche aux Sabots and the 91.1

Les 3 Pignons: la Dame Jouanne

How to get there ? Get out of the highway and take the Ury exit. Then take right direction La Chapelle La Reine. Go through Larchant. Follow the Dame Jouanne indication.

This massif is divided in three particular parts : la Dame Jouanne, with the highest rock of Fontainebleau, the Maunoury and the Elephant, with its very unusual block.

The paths are generally quite high and exposed. Don't forget to take a rope with you.
